YEAR 6
We will be very sorry to see our Year 6 children leave the school at the end of next week. They have been an amazing bunch with some real characters we won’t be forgetting in a hurry!
The Year5 and 6 production of Alice in Wonderland was a big success. Well done to both year groups for a fantastic show. The singing and acting was amazing and the costumes brilliant. Thank you to Nexus for hosting us again.
The children in Year 6 achieved some amazing results in the end of Key Stage tests this year. We are very proud of their achievements.
TRANSFER DAY AND STAFF CHANGES
Most of the children in year 6 visited their new schools on Wednesday and the rest of the school moved up to meet their new teachers. We are sorry to say good bye to Miss Edmonds next week. Miss Edmonds has been looking after Mrs Andrews’ class since she went on maternity leave and has done a fantastic job.
We have recruited Miss Laura Mitrofaniuk to work alongside Mrs Forse in Year 4 next year.
CLASSROOM CHANGES AND DECORATING
Some of the teachers will be relocating next year. Mr Hook will be moving across the hall into the classroom at present inhabited by class 3I. Both of the year 3 classes will be at the far end of the hall side by side and Miss Mitrofaniuk will be taking over the classroom Miss Higgs has at present. Miss Higgs will move to Mr Hook’s room! And when the music stops...
Year 3 classrooms will be decorated during the summer holidays, as will some of the walls in the halls and the corridors by the Dining Room. After School Club itself will undergo a complete renovation.
USED UNIFORM
PTA have asked that we remind everyone, especially Year 6 that any used uniform in good condition but no longer any use to your family can be donated to school to raise funds. Please send it into the office.
